Hello David and Carol, I was wondering about purchasing a gift voucher from you as a wedding gift to my fried who is getting married and just loves proteas, so she can chose for herself from your excellent variety. She is moving to Wellington and not sure whether they will grow happily there or whether it may be too windy for them. Kind regards Helen Crisp.

Hi Helen,
We sell and ship our Protea all around the country and they grow well. Be aware that some varieties don’t like frost, and they all don’t like wet feet. If your friend lives near the sea she is less likely to have frosts. A good small protea option is Protea Sheila at 1m and frost hardy to minus 5 degrees.
I’m happy to create a gift voucher. Each Protea is about $39 to $45 and shipping to Wellington Urban is $16 currently. This totals $61.
